How a greeting is put together

Three parts joined into one text

The page does not take a whole greeting from a list. It builds one from three parts: an opening, a wish and a closing. That gives far more versions than anyone could write by hand – over a hundred for each “occasion + recipient” pair. The exact number is shown in the card: the “For whom” row gives it.

Only the opening depends on the recipient

The wishes and closings are written to suit anyone. The opening is the one place where the page speaks to the person: warm and casual for a friend or a loved one, more formal for a colleague. That is why a greeting for a colleague never sounds over-familiar.

It is text, not a picture

The page does not draw a card. It gives you ready text to copy into a messenger, print in a card or write on a gift tag. The design is a separate job.

Read it before you send it

The greeting is put together by a machine, and it is deliberately restrained: no name, age or details the page does not know. Adding one sentence of your own is the best thing you can do with ready text.

Greeting generator questions

Can I insert a name?

The page does not ask for a name or insert one. Copy the text and add the name yourself – that way it is sure to be right.

Why is a greeting for a colleague different from one for a friend?

Only the opening changes: more formal for a colleague, casual for a friend. The wish is the same for both.

How many versions are there?

The card shows the number. For each “occasion + recipient” pair it is the product of three lists – over a hundred versions.

Why did I get the same text as last time?

Because every click is a new, independent draw. The page does not remember earlier sets.

Are there greetings for professional holidays?

Not yet. The list has six occasions: birthday, New Year, wedding, anniversary, recovery and thanks.

Greeting generator – ready text for a card

The greeting generator puts together ready text from two fields: occasion and recipient. Up to three versions at a time, each one can be copied separately.

How to use it

Pick the occasion and who you are writing to – the greeting appears at once. The “Another variant” button builds a new set, and the “No repeats” switch makes sure the set has no duplicates. Add one sentence of your own before sending.
